Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SPONGE-BOB-SQUARE-PANTS! Who's gonna be on the big screen again? SPONGE-BOB-SQUARE-PANTS! (See what we did there?)

That wasn't a fun rhyme just for the heck of it. Our favorite Nickelodeon underwater gang really is coming out with a 3-D movie extravaganza, and we've just gotten the first glimpse at what to expect when SpongeBob SquarePants: Sponge Out of Water hits theaters next year.

The trailer starts by introducing viewers to the villain of the film—a pirate captain named Alameda Jack whose voice has the hint of a Spanish accent that seems very familiar. Oh wait, it's Antonio Banderas.

Alameda Jack is on a mission to recover the last page to his magical book, and of course, SpongeBob has that page, so Banderas' character attacks Bikini Bottom to try and get hold of that one page, forcing SpongeBob and the gang to go ashore to protect their underwater community.

They quickly learn that they're going to have to make a few changes (and gain some super powers) if they want to prevail. So the foursome become big and buff (it takes some getting used to) in order to take on Alameda Jack.
