Sam Smith's song "Stay With Me" has some hard-to-hit high notes, but that didn't stop Vin Diesel from singing it!
During a visit to Capital FM, the Guardians of the Galaxy star covered Sam's hit song karaoke-style, armed only with lyrics, backing track and a microphone. Vin gave it his best, and while his version wasn't quite on par with the original, it sure got Sam's seal of approval!
On Wednesday, the 22-year-old Brit tweeted, "Vin diesel just covered Stay With Me. Surreal. Thanks man haha." He went on to express his gratitude for Vin's performance in an interview with Capital Breakfast, saying, "First of all I thought it was going to be good, but when I heard it it's the most hilarious thing I've heard in my life."
"It's amazing," he went on. "Brilliant. The falsetto!"
"It's so weird for me because i remember watching 'xXx' when I was like eleven years old!" said Sam, referring to Vin's 2002 action movie. "I definitely think we should do a duet one day, it would be amazing."
Yes, that certainly would be amazing. Perhaps Sam and Vin could collaborate with Rihanna, too! We know the Fast & Furious 7 star is a fan, because on Valentine's Day in 2013, he posted a heartfelt cover of her hit song "Stay."
That Vin Diesel is a man of many talents!
