Remember Gus Kenworthy? He is the silver medal-winning Olympian who saved a little of stray Sochi puppies from being killed. And then we all fell in love with him and made him our official Olympics boyfriend? This should jog your memory:

Of course, you remember.
Even though we haven't heard much about Gus in the winter Olympics off-season (that is, the four years between Games, and that is, except for the obsessive Instagram stalking we do on the daily), turns out he's still as wonderful as ever: Gus threw out the first pitch at a San Diego Padres game the other night in order to raise awareness for pet adoption here in the U.S.
The Padres game was part of Petco's annual Dog Days of Summer event to raise awareness for pet adoption, and 500 dogs and their owners were invited to attend the game. Which is why we're having trouble deciding: Who's cuter, Gus or this bulldog (kind of?) sliding into home?
...or this St. Bernard who brought his own beverage to the game?
...OR THIS CHUBBY WEINER DOG IN A JERSEY?
It's a tie.
If you're wondering why Gus is back flipping, watch him throw the first pitch below:
