Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett is trying her best to stay strong.

As reports continue to circulate that she is experiencing troubles in her marriage to Hank Baskett, the 29-year-old took time out of her busy schedule to enjoy a rare night out with girlfriends.

According to a source close to Kendra, the reality star was "in terrific spirits" as she traveled to Warwick, a cocktail bar in Los Angeles, Thursday night around 11:30 p.m. for a girlfriend's birthday party.

"This was her first public night out in forever," the source told E! News. "She didn't want to be on lockdown."

In recent weeks, Kendra has been keeping a low-profile as she stays close to home with her children. She is, however, also staying positive about her tough situation.

"She is being optimistic about her future," the source added. "She is moving forward with her life and is making the best of the situation. She is just trying to keep everything together."

While enjoying her rare evening out (without wearing a wedding ring), Kendra was seen texting Hank throughout the night. The source insists, however, that it was nothing more than a husband checking in on his wife.

"She was mortified by the situation with the news of Hank," the source said.

According to Us, Kendra threw her wedding ring in the toilet once she discovered Hank had cheated on her. The couple, who got married in 2009, has two children together. Their baby girl Alijah, was born in May.

While fans of the couple hope for better news ahead, Kendra appears to be focused most on her two kids.

"She is loving life as a mommy," the source said. "She is so strong."
