Even Queen Elizabeth II needs a touchup every now and then, y'all!

And on Wednesday at the opening of the 20th Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, the royal unashamedly whipped out her red lipstick and reapplied it! Of course, by this point, the queen mum was seated comfortably in the stands with hubby Prince Philip by her side.

When the queen returned the next day, though, her cosmetics were safely tucked away in her elegant clutch (or in the safe care of a royal aide, let's be real!), but that didn't stop Prince William and Prince Harry's grandma from putting her best face forward! The 88-year-old monarch was all smiles as she cheekily photobombed a selfie being taken by two members of the Australia Commonwealth Games women's hockey team, Jayde Taylor and Brooke Peris!

Their fellow Hockeyroo (yes, that's the real team name!) Nelson Ashleigh lucked out, too, by capturing the queen mum in her candid selfie. She Instagrammed the smiling snap, writing," Queen Lizzie continues to follow me around the grounds. She is swift and nimble #queenselfiechallenge."

Say what you will, but Queen Elizabeth II is sure doing her part to get teams excited for the Commonwealth Games!
