As a former werewolf, Taylor Lautner should be able to grow some seriously impressive facial hair in mere moments.

But because (spoiler alert) Twilight isn't real, the 22-year-old actor has to wear a very noticeably fake beard for his role in Cuckoo, a British comedy airing on BBC Three.

In a teaser trailer for the show's second season, Taylor's erratic character begins as scatterbrained, disheveled bearded individual before he transforms into his shirtless, buff and seemingly Zen self. Fortunately for lifelong members of Team Jacob, he accidentally drops his towel around the 0:17 mark, providing an almost NSFW shot of Taylor in the buff!

The former teen idol joins Cuckoo in its second season as a replacement for Andy Samberg. In the first season, the Brooklyn Nine-Nine star played an English family's unwanted American son-in-law who returned with their daughter after her gap year. Per the BBC, the show's second season will pick up "two years after Samberg's character disappeared while walking in the Himalayas."

His widow, played by Tamla Kari, reportedly finds love again with "a nice-but-dull lawyer" when Lautner's quirky character arrives to turn everyone's lives around once again.

Season two of Cuckoo premieres in the U.K. on Aug. 7 at 10 p.m., only on BBC Three.
