Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden rode the romance train all the way to the Amalfi Coast over the weekend, Madden joining his new love interest on a quick getaway that included stops in Positano and the isle of Capri before returning solo to Los Angeles today.
The still pretty new couple frolicked on a yacht, Diaz spending a good part of the trip in one of her go-to white bikinis. They went swimming and walked around town, at one point stopping to take pictures with the stunning view of the sea behind them.
During their impromptu photo shoot, Benji gave the actress a tender kiss on the cheek.
We're told that, while on the yacht, the Sex Tape star was very affectionate and sweet with Madden, always holding his arms or touching him in some way.
The Good Charlotte rocker, who was spotted at L.A. International Airport today, took Diaz with him to a celebration dinner for the premiere of sister-in-law Nicole Richie's Candidly Nicole last week, and she had him spend time with her family in Florida over the Fourth of July weekend.
But though they've obviously gone public, Cameron doesn't seem too keen on dishing the details. She seemingly cut a call-in interview with Australian radio hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O short today after Kyle made comments about both Benji and pal Drew Barrymore's past issues.
"Well, that started very well and ended poorly, I think," Jackie scolded her cohost after Diaz pulled the plug. "Good one, Kyle. You ruined that interview. Sorry to be blunt. You brought up Drew Barrymore, her best friend's drug addiction in the past...She's her best friend. And then you brought up Benji. We all know how protective Cameron is about her private life."
As for Madden, without spilling too much he agreed with a U.K. radio host's assessment last month that both he and brother Joel Madden were doing well in the love-life department.
"We're lucky guys," Benji admitted.
