Homeland season four? More like Homeland 2.0. The new season of the Claire Danes-fronted drama kicks off on Sunday, Oct. 5 at 9 p.m. on Showtime and it finds Danes' Carrie Mathison working in the field. From the looks of the trailer below, it's going to be a wild ride for the drama.

During a lunch at the 2014 TCA Summer Press Tour, Homeland bosses provided a few nuggets of information about where we find Carrie, Saul (Mandy Patinkin) and how the show is adjusting to life without…Brody (Damian Lewis).

1. Saul will be working in the private sector.

2. There will be five or six new characters in the world of Carrie Mathison

3. The Brody family—including your favorite angsty teen, Dana (Morgan Saylor), will "probably not" return in the fourth season.

4. James Rebhorn played Carrie's dad in the series and passed away, and he will be honored, but boss Alex Gansa wouldn't reveal how.

Homeland will be paired with The Affair, a provocative new drama starring Dominic West, Joshua Jackson, Ruth Wilson and Maura Tierney. The Affair premieres Sunday, Oct. 19 at 10 p.m.
