It's no secret that Kate Bosworth has some pretty keen sartorial sense, but she's also got her thumb on the pulse of the tech world.

Kate Bosworth is the chief marketing officer of the new awesome fashion app, Style Thief, founded by entrepreneur Samantha Russ.

Kate and her partner Samantha (pictured below) fêted the app's launch Wednesday at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, and we caught up with Kate to discuss her new gig. Style Thief allows its users to snap a pic of an outfit and then hunt down their style obsessions in a few easy clicks.

So since the topic of style thieving came up, we of course had to ask Kate if there is a celebrity whose style she could steal. Her answer? A certain chic Oscar winner.

"I admire Cate Blanchett's style, because she has a classic sense of elegance that I'm attracted to, but she's also experimental," said Kate. "She is super chic. It's that kind of Katharine Hepburn street style, but always with something interesting."

Style Thief encourages its users to snap a pic whenever they see an outfit they covet, so we asked Kate if she's the type of outgoing girl who would approach a fashionista on the street and take their photo.

"My personality is the type that I would ask them. I am constantly aware of people sneaking photos. People are aware. I would imagine that most people would be flattered if you were like, 'Do you mind if I steal your look? I love what you are wearing.'"

And as for trends to keep an eye out for, Kate had plenty of pro tips. "I'm looking at '60s inspiration and transitioning to '70s for fall. And footwear is definitely a highlight. I do like the idea of a pointy boot. Again, sort of a '60s drive. Gucci did it quite well. That sort of tight to the ankle boot."

Noted! Now please excuse us while we use Style Thief to hunt down a great new pair of pointy boots.
