Britney Spears accidentally dined and dashed after enjoying a lovely meal at The Cheesecake Factory with boyfriend David Lucado on Sunday in Thousand Oaks, Calif.
According to TMZ, the couple noshed on an appetizer and salad before the waitress brought over a $30 bill at which point Brit-Brit said her bodyguard would pay.
However, there was apparently a miscommunication, as the pop princess and her beau left the restaurant before the check was paid for. Of course, once they realized their error, the situation was quickly rectified.
The Cheesecake Factory released a statement to E! News confirming that Spears did indeed leave without paying, adding that it was simply an accidental oversight.
"Britney dines in our restaurants quite often and is a wonderful guest," Alethea Rowe, senior director of public relations for the restaurant chain said in a statement. "We know that this was just an honest mistake."
What's more? A source tells E! News that Spears "does not carry cash or credit cards. She never has. Her bodyguards have everything on them to always pay for this stuff."
Clearly, the lovebirds were blissfully unaware of their error as they were snapped all smiles leaving the eatery with leftover bags in hand.
Brit-Brit flaunted her supertoned abs in a white crop top paired with short gray shorts, a fedora hat and sky-high wedge sandals that showed off her long and lean gams while Lucado looked handsome in a blue polo shirt, patterned shorts and a newsboy cap.
The two most recently put breakup rumors to rest after the singer shared a happy photo of the duo soaking up the sun together at her home.
"Hola from Spears Beach aka mi casa," the 32-year-old beauty captioned the pic, adding a swimsuit and an ocean wave emoji.
