The TARDIS has seen better days.

In the first full-length Doctor Who season eight trailer, there are many sights to be had. Daleks, dinosaurs, Clara holding the sonic screwdriver, explosions. Really, just so much. It seems like Whovians are in for a different type of season, perhaps darker, if the trailer is any indication.

Some choice tantalizing sound bites:

"I don't think I know who the Doctor is anymore," Clara says.

"I'm the Doctor, I've lived for over 2,000 years. I've made many mistakes and it's about time I did something about that," the Doctor says.
"Where are we going?" Clara asks.
"Into darkness," the Doctor replies.

BBC America

"Clara, tell me: Am I a good man?" the Doctor asks.
"I…don't know," she says.

Several scripts recently leaked onto the Internet after a security breach at the BBC. The home of Doctor Who asked fans to be kind and not share the spoilers.

"BBC Worldwide is currently investigating a security issue around Doctor Who series eight where unfinished material has inadvertently been made public. We deeply regret this and apologize to all the show's fans, the BBC and the cast and crew who have worked tirelessly making the series," BBC said in a statement. "We would like to make a plea to anyone who might have any of this material and spoilers associated with it not to share it with a wider audience so that everyone can enjoy the show as it should be seen when it launches. We know only too well that Doctor Who fans are the best in the world and we thank them for their help with this and their continued loyalty."

Peter Capaldi takes on the role of the Doctor officially when Doctor Who season eight kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 23.
