Enlisted may be drafted by Yahoo Screen!

The online streaming site, which just brought Community back from the dead for sixth season, is looking to save the freshman sitcom after it was axed by Fox this May, a source confirms to E! News.

Though Yahoo doesn't comment on rumors, a source tells us that 20th Century Fox TV Studios is currently in talks with Yahoo for a second season of Kevin Biegel-created series, which starred Geoff Stults, Chris Lowell and Parker Young as three brothers serving in the military.

Deadline first reported the news of Enlisted's potential comeback at Yahoo Screen.

Biegel took to Twitter to thank the show's fans for fighting for the show's survival, writing, "The fact anythings even being talked about is because of you amazing, amazing fans. So cross fingers. Mine crossed so hard they may break."

Though it never brought in massive ratings on Fox, Enlisted was adored by critics and developed a loyal following. Plus, the show recently won the award for Most Heartbreaking Cancellation in our Best. Ever. TV. Awards. Hey, we're not going to take full credit for Yahoo's interest in a second season, but we're just saying we probably didn't hurt the show's chances!

After NBC canceled Community, Yahoo Screen swooped in and rescued the Dan Harmon series at the 11th hour, ordering a 13-episode sixth season. "I look forward to bringing our beloved NBC sitcom to a larger audience by moving it online," Harmon said of the move to online. "I vow to dominate our new competition. Rest easy, Big Bang Theory. Look out, Bang Bus!"
