Can you tell that Jon Voight is obsessed with his Ray Donovan co-star and on-screen son, Liev Schreiber?! When we chatted with the actor, who just earned an Emmy nod for his work as Mickey, the titular character's shady father, at the Showtime hit's Season 2 premiere party, he couldn't stop gushing about Schreiber...even in front of Schreiber!
After Schreiber crashed our interview with Angelina Jolie's father, Voight said, "I am going to say this right in front of him. I'm a big fan of Liev's and I have been for years, since I worked with him many years ago and I followed his career. I always felt like he was a perfect leading man." Aw!
Ever-so-modest, Schreiber quickly joked, "He also wrote my profile on JDate." (Relax, he's still with Naomi Watts!)
But after the gushfest came to an end, Schreiber dished on what fans can expect to see for his character, Ray, the Hollywood fixer, in the second season, which premieres on Sunday.
"One of the themes...that I was really interested in was the idea of being seen because people want to be seen," he previewed. "It's that conflict of interest for someone who does something where they shouldn't be seen who actually has a secret desire to be seen. I think it makes for some very powerful stuff this season. I'm very proud of it."
