CaCee Cobb took to Instagram to give her gal-pal a funny birthday shout-out on her special day, but instead of posting a collage of their greatest pictures together to take a trip down memory lane like most BFF birthday posts, Cobb just focused on one era in particular—the '80s.
Well, sorta.
Cobb shared an amazing pic of her and Simpson from Ashlee Simpson's '80s prom party for her 23rd birthday, writing, '"#tbt and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sweets @jessicasimpson. I love you!"
In the snapshot, Simpson has a fierce blond shoulder-length 'do while CaCee is rocking big curly hair off to one side. The longtime friends both wore strapless, black and white dresses and slipped on matching fingerless Madonna-esque lace gloves.
Simpson Instagrammed a post-wedding, makeup-free selfie earlier today to pay tribute to her birthday as well. She captioned the beautiful, barefaced shot, "And the sun sets on 33."
Jessica's July 10 b-day certainly comes at a happy time! On July 5, she married Eric Johnson, also 34, in a "magical" ceremony at the luxurious San Ysidro Ranch, located in Montecito, Calif. The bride and groom exchanged vows in front of their family—including sister Ashlee and fiancé Evan Ross—and friends, including Jessica Alba, Cash Warren, Cobb, Donald Faison and Topher Grace.
"We are overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment," the newlyweds told People. "To say 'I do' in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives."
