Garth Brooks is heading back on the road!

The country music star announced that he's about to embark on a world tour and will be releasing a double album around Black Friday in November.

Brooks just signed a new record deal with Sony Music Entertainment and admitted during a press conference that he's honored to have such a long-lasting career and devoted fan base.

"I want to thank God and everyone who is giving me a chance to actually look at a second half of a career," the 52-year-old said. "I don't know many artists who get this chance."

Brooks famously took a break from his career to focus on raising his three daughters back in 2001.

"Scared? Yeah. Old? Yes," he admitted when asked how he feels about taking the stage once again.

However, he added that he was excited "to see what the second half [of his career] is."

Specifics on his upcoming tour will be released on July 14, such as ticket prices and concert dates.

Brooks is expected to begin touring as early as this fall, however, and will travel the globe for quite possibly two to three years.

"Our job is to fly the flag for country music," he shared. "I want these people walking out of arenas going, 'Best show I have ever seen. That thumped harder than any rap show I've ever been to.' All the good things…I don't think that much is going to change for us."
