Congratulations! Jimmy Kimmel and Molly McNearney welcomed a baby girl on Thursday. The couple's newborn daughter joins Kimmel's two children, son Kevin and daughter Katie, from his first marriage.
"Congratulations to my beautiful and very tough wife @mollymcnearney on delivering our baby girl this morning," Kimmel tweeted. The Jimmy Kimmel Live! host then referenced his show's #MeanTweets segment, tweeting, " Thanks for all your kind baby wishes - turns out, not ALL tweets are mean!"
McNearney, who is a staff writer on her husband's show, also used the social networking site after giving birth. "Kids, don't do drugs. Until you have a baby," the first-time mom joked. "Then do ALL OF THEM." The couple named their daughter Jane Kimmel. "Molly is doing great," a rep tells E! News.
Their baby's birth comes just days before the couple celebrates their first wedding anniversary. It's a doubly great day for Kimmel, as Jimmy Kimmel Live! received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.
Kimmel announced McNearney's pregnancy on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in February.
"It's weird, at my age," the 46-year-old comic told Ellen DeGeneres. "I'm going to be one of those old dads."
"Well, you're not as old as some dads right now," the comedienne reassured him. "You're not that old."
"But I'm getting older every single day," he reminded her, to which she had to agree, "That is true."
