Justin Theroux, star of the new HBO series The Leftovers, is preparing to celebrate his 43rd birthday in August on a day that will also mark another special milestone—the day he proposed to Jennifer Aniston.
The actor had popped the question on Aug. 10, 2012, the day he turned 41, with an estimated 8-carat diamond ring. At the time, the two had been together for more than a year.
"This birthday, I think, will be just cakes and, you know, who knows? We'll see," he said, chuckling, on Good Morning America in an interview that aired on Thursday, July 10. "It's hard to top after the proposal. We're also loving the engagement as well."
Theroux and Aniston, 45, have not announced a wedding date. The actress had in July 2013 joked that the two "already feel married."
In early 2012, before he proposed, the two purchased a $21 million, 8,500-square-foot Los Angeles home, which they are renovating.
