Orange Is the New Black Meets Frozen; Elsa & More Disney Princesses Go to Prison—Watch Now!

Among many other parallels, Elsa portrays character remarkably similar to Piper Chapman

If Arendelle were anything like New York, Frozen's Elsa would face some serious repercussions for some of her cold actions.

Piper Chapman, a prisoner at the (still fictional) Litchfield Correctional Facility on Orange Is the New Black, unfortunately had no troll king (or successfully overprotective parents) to make things right, so she's serving time behind bars. But what if Elsa and a whole cast of Disney princesses were thrown into Piper's realm? Illustrator-animator Leigh Lahav made brought the two worlds together in an animated YouTube video called "Frozen Is the New Black."

Beauty and the Beast's Gaston plays a warden remarkably similar to Pornstache, 101 Dalmations' Cruella de Vil reminds us a little of the warden's assistant Natalie "Fig" Figureo. As far as we can tell, Frozen's Anna is the perfect paralell to Piper's best friend Polly. At one point in Frozen Is the New Black, she tells her sis, "Elsa! You're nothing like any of these princesses—you're a queen!"

Elsa isn't letting herself off that easily, though. "I am no different than anybody else here," she replies, much like Piper did on OITNB. "I committed a crime, and being in here is no one's fault but my own."

Other prison princesses who make an appearance? Tiana from The Princess and the Frog, Ariel from The Little Mermaid, Aurora from Sleeping Beauty, Pocahontas, Cinderella, Mulan and Cinderella—just to name a few. At one point, Elsa loses her cool (!) and ices over Belle from Beauty and the Beast! (Kinda like when Piper reached her snapping point, right?)

It's clever, and probably the only Frozen/OITNB crossover we'll be seeing. Then again, maybe somehow Piper's story will miraculously have a fairy-tale ending after all!
