Wedding festivities can work up an appetite.

Following Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson's wedding ceremony, the married duo treated their guests to cocktails in the gardens at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, Calif. and dinner at a private location, a source told E! News exclusively.

"It was a perfect wedding," a witness said, while another called it 'a heck of a fun time!"

The dinner kicked off with guests enjoying a selection of hors d'oeuvres and cocktails in the gardens and then they were escorted to dinner, where the bride and groom made their grand entrance as husband and wife.

Once they were in the room, Eric made sure to welcome everyone to dinner. And then the main feast began, with guests served wine and other beverages, as well as a gourmet three course meal. They were able to choose from a variety of options for dinner, including short ribs, fish and a vegetarian option.

Around 9:30 p.m., the wedding cake was cut and served to guests. As the couple and their guests enjoyed the evening, a live band played music.

An after party was later thrown on the ranch grounds, where several of the wedding guests who chose to attend enjoyed more tasty snacks, including sliders, french fries, pizza, cookies and s'mores, as well as beer, wine, and cocktails. A DJ played music.

"The food was delicious," one party-goer said. "I couldn't stop eating."

Jessica and Eric tied the knot earlier today in a romantic ceremony at San Ysidro Ranch, saying "I do" around 4:45 p.m.

More than 250 guests attended the couple's wedding, including Jessica's sister Ashlee Simpson and her fiancé Evan Ross, Jessica Alba and her family, Topher Grace and his girlfriend, and Johnson's old football buddies from Yale and the NFL, including Tim Rattay.

The nuptials were held on the ranch's luscious lawn against a backdrop of lavish rose gardens under a canopy. After the wedding came to a close, guests could be heard screaming, cheering and clapping for the bride and groom.
