VM/Pablo/FAMEFLYNET PICTURES Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck had a low-key wedding anniversary celebration over the weekend.
The brunette beauty flew to Detroit to be with her hubby, who is currently there filming the highly anticipated Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
The two shared a romantic dinner at Bistro 82—a French fusion restaurant located in the Royal Oak suburb—and E! News has exclusively learned that the famous duo did their best to remain under the radar.
"Jen was wearing a black dress and Ben was in jeans with disheveled hair…They were walking slowly by and they seemed relaxed and in good spirits," an eyewitness tells us.
"They were walking very closely together. As they were walking out, Ben took a cigarette out and put it in his mouth and they walked out of the restaurant and he stopped and lit the cigarette. They then walked out together and headed down the street."
The two split a bottle of red wine and split an order of oysters. Affleck got the steak and fries, while Garner opted for a salad.
And even though their arguably one of the most famous duos in Hollywood, our source says that the Afflecks didn't stand out in any way.
"I had to do a double take because they were blended with the rest of the guests and they appeared like any normal couple."
People magazine reports that shortly before heading to Detroit for some quality couples' time, Garner spent a few days with her children in her hometown of Charleston, W. Va.
In fact, Samuel, Violet, Seraphina, their mama and grandparents were all spotted catching a minor league baseball game at Appalachian Power Park.
