You can add Billy Unger to the list of Disney stars who've had unfortunate run-ins with the law.
The 18-year-old Lab Rats actor was arrested on suspicion of DUI over the weekend, the Malibu Lost Hills Sheriff's Department confirms to E! News.
According to law enforcement officials, Unger was stopped at a DUI checkpoint in Malibu late Friday night and was subsequently arrested and taken to a local police station in the early hours of Saturday morning. He was released from custody only a few hours after his booking.
"In light of last Saturday's occurrence, I wish to let all my fans know how much I value and appreciate their continued support of me at this time," Unger said in a statement Monday. "As I move forward responsibly in this matter, I simply ask the public, and more importantly my fans, to reserve judgment and allow the opportunity for me to address this issue properly through the legal system."
While there aren't many details surrounding Unger's arrest, a tweet he sent out several hours before his arrest makes it seem as if he went to dinner at Nobu in Malibu prior to his DUI stop.
Unger tweeted at 10:16 p.m. Friday night, "Nice legs, Miss Malibu. #Nobu."
Unger stars on the Disney show Lab Rats about teenage siblings who each have bionic powers.
