E! News has confirmed that the 28-year-old former reality star has married her German model fiancé Johannes Huebl. The pretty pair tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in a quiet park in Bedford, New York, with "only a handful" of family members and close friends present to witness the sweet event, Palermo said in a message posted on her website on Sunday, June 29.
"We really wanted to keep this beautiful day very private and special to us and enjoyed the whole day with our family and two friends," she said. "Bedford is such an amazing and romantic countryside."
However, we're told this is just the beginning when it comes to their nuptials. A source tells E! News Palermo and Huebl are planning a larger, more extravagant wedding ceremony for next year.
The bride wore a three-piece outfit by Carolina Herrera: A cream cashmere sweater with scattered ostrich feathers and white shorts covered by a full satin and silk tulle skirt with floral details and a slit that showed off her shapely leg.
"Congratulations Mrs. Huebl or @therealoliviap &@johanneshuebl #carolinaherrera #bridalstyle by separates. CHic!" read a message posted on the designer's Instagram page, along with a photo of the bride from behind.
The two lovebirds got engaged at the top of the year while spending the holiday in St. Bart's.
Her German-born beau shared his new relationship status on Instagram, posting a video of his fiancée making her way through the lush landscaping around the resort where they're staying, Emma Louise's "Jungle" playing in the background—during which Palermo couldn't help but flash her new engagement ring.
"Happy New Year to everybody and this is how we celebrate it: OP said Y E S," Huebl wrote.
Palermo and Huebl have been dating since 2008 after meeting through mutual friends. "I think that we grow together," Palermo told Elle in 2010. "I think that I'm constantly learning, and we're both eager to learn about not only each other, but our interests."
