So, there's this World Cup soccer game ... and it's kind of a big deal. Enter Will Ferrell.

Donning a red, white and blue Team USA uniform and standing next to soccer fan and Twitter sensation Teddy Goalsevelt, portrayed by Mike D'Amico, the 46-year-old Anchorman actor gave a truly inspirational speech to a screaming crowd at a bar in Recife, Brazil on Wednesday, as seen in a United States Soccer Federation video. The 2014 FIFA World Cup began in the country on June 12 and on Thursday, June 26, Team USA faces off against Germany.

"USA!" "USA!" "USA!" the patrons shouted.

"I'm so honored to be playing tomorrow," Ferrell joked, after being announced as a mock replacement Team USA player. "I'm not going to lie to you–I'm not in the best shape ... But I'm gonna try my best."

"If the game gets close, I will bite," he deadpanned. "I will bite the opponent! I will bite every German player, if I have to."

The match comes two days after Uruguay forward Luis Suárez made headlines and spurred memes by appearing to bite Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini during a World Cup game. The FIFA Disciplinary Committee announced on Thursday that Suárez was guilty of assault and will be banned from playing in the remaining matches of the 2014 World Cup. The final game is on July 13.

Ferrell, a soccer fan (and soccer dad!) who once played with Gordon Ramsay in the celebrity charity match Soccer Aid 2012 in England (and got injured), said he plans to attend the Team USA - Germany match, which takes place at the Arena Pernambuco stadium at 12 p.m. ET. And while it's unclear if there'll be any cowbell, there may be quite the patriotic fashion statement.

"Look for the guy sitting next to Teddy Goalsevent in a red, white and blue bikini top!" Ferrell said, high-fiving the crowd members.
