Joan Rivers has always been an equal-opportunity offender—but plenty of celebrities aren't thrilled to be the butt of one of the veteran comedian's jokes.

Count Kristen Stewart as the latest to take offense, Rivers' rep confirming to E! News today that they got a call from Stewart's attorney regarding a crack in Rivers' latest book, Diary of a Mad Diva, that is a thinly veiled reference to K.Stew's 2012 affair with then-married Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.

The book doesn't hit shelves until next month, but copies have been released for review and excerpts are making the rounds online.

So, what River wrote was: "Many stars only do one thing well. Of course, the best one-trick-pony is Kristen Stewart, who got a whole career by being able to juggle a director's balls."

The Joan Knows Best star's rep tells E! News, "There was a phone call made by Kristen's attorney to Joan's attorney regarding the content of the book. Considering the nature of the book, Diary of a Mad Diva,  one needs only to read the prologue of the book to understand the context of the words that are written."

Added Rivers herself, giving a shout-out to one of her other frequent targets: "Kristen needs to calm down and have a thicker skin, and she should be glad she's not a Kardashian. Kristen is adorable and the fact that I mentioned her means she's an A-list celebrity."

Rivers' previous book, for the record, was called I Hate Everyone...Starting With Me.

At a glance, other bold-faced names included in the 81-year-old entertainer's latest effort—be they an object of Rivers' admiration or...not—Melissa McCarthy, Peter Dinklage, John Travolta, Lena Dunham, David Bowie, Brad Pitt and Jane Fonda.
