Brienne of Tarth hung out with the ladies of Downton Abbey at Wimbledon and suddenly fan fiction writers everywhere went crazy.
Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie, who will appear in the new Star Wars film, tweeted the above picture with Michelle Dockery, Laura Carmichael, Lily James and Allen Leech of Downton Abbey. The fine group of TV stars were all looking mighty chic and modern at Wimbledon, a far cry from their normal TV duds of period costumes and swords and armor.

Dockery, who plays Lady Mary on Downton Abbey, shared the above photo on her Instagram with #GameOfDownton included in the caption.
Downton Abbey is currently filming its fifth season with all four of the aforementioned stars returning to tell the tale of the Crawley family. New additions to the sprawling cast include Girls actor Richard E. Grant as Simon Bricker, a guest of the Crawleys, Anna Chancellor as Lady Anstruther and Rade Sherbedgia as a Russian refugee.
"We look forward to introducing these new characters to our Masterpiece audience. They will make a wonderful addition to the beloved Downton Abbey ensemble," Rebecca Eaton, Masterpiece executive producer, said in a statement when the fifth season cast was announced.
The Downton Abbey season five cast also includes Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville, Elizabeth McGovern, Jim Carter, Penelope Wilton, Phyllis Logan, Samantha Bond, Brendan Coyle, Joanne Froggatt, Lesley Nicol, Sophie McShera, Rob James-Collier, Ed Speleers, Kevin Doyle, Raquel Cassidy,David Robb, Tom Cullen, Julian Ovenden, Daisy Lewis, Douglas Reith, Jeremy Swift and Andrew Scarborough.
