Daredevil has found its leading lady!

Rosario Dawson has officially joined the cast of Marvel's Daredevil, Netflix and Marvel announced on Friday.  While her character's name in the 13-episode series wasn't revealed, her role was described as "a dedicated young woman whose quest to heal the wounds of Hell's Kitchen brings Matt Murdock unexpectedly crashing into her life, while her own journey forever alters the course of his battle against the injustices of this broken city."

Vague, but we'll take it!

"Rosario Dawson is one the most charismatic, talented and powerful actresses in Hollywood, so she was always at the top of our list for Marvel's Daredevil," Jeph Loeb, Marvel's Head of Television, said in a statement. "Her role in the series is absolutely critical to Matt Murdock's journey to become the hero we know as Daredevil."

Dawson, who is known for her work in Rent, Unstoppable and Sin City, will next appear in Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For

Boardwalk Empire star Charlie Cox will play Matt Murdock (aka Daredevil), while Law & Order: Criminal Intent standout Vincent D'Onofrio will tackle the role of the series' big bad, Kingpin. In the 2003 Daredevil movie, Ben Affleck took on the titular role, with Michael Clarke Duncan playing Kingpin.

Marvel's Daredevil will hit Netflix in 2015, with series centering on Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones, as well as a team-up miniseries featuring all the heroes, set to follow.
