"Stop embarrassing me, mom!"
We imagine those were the thoughts going through these kids' heads after their parents appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, where they were seriously schooled in Harry Potter trivia.
The comedian and his crew are in Orlando this week, so naturally, they sent one of their writers to the wildly popular Wizarding World of Harry Potter (a Harry Potter theme park, for those who aren't familiar), where a number of parents were quizzed on various facts from J.K. Rowling's hit novels, but here's the catch—their kids were not allowed to help.
Of course, hilarity ensues as clueless moms and dads are asked to answer simple questions while their embarrassed children stand to the side shaking their heads in shame.
Here's a sampling of a favorite responses:
"What is the name of the first Harry Potter book?"
"Harry Goes to School" (correct answer: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone).
"Recite the spell to start a fire."
"Liar liar pants on fire" (correct answer: Incendio!)
"What class does Professor Snape teach?"
"Snipers" (correct answer: Potions).
"Name the sport that Harry Potter plays." (This one was a real doozy.)
"Oh shoot, uh, Gichit"
"Uh, wait I know this one, Flibbige, Fliddle, Fribbrige"
"I know that one, they chase a little ball around...Squegum"
"Cribbage." (Sorry, pops, that's a popular card game.)
For the record, the correct answer is Quidditch.
Where's Daniel Radcliffe to save the day?!
(E!, NBC and Universal Studios are all part of the NBCUniversal family.)
