So, we all know Nicki Minaj as the queen of fearless and outrageous fashion.  But this Monday, Minaj opted for a softer style. And let me tell you, she looked flat-out gorgeous for her appearance on Live with Kelly and Michael!

The 31-year-old is back in the spotlight promoting the anticipated release of her third album The Pink Print, and to say she looked insanely beautiful is a major understatement. Minaj looked, shall I dare say, demure, in a floral brocade Dolce & Gabbana pencil skirt ($1,345) and matching Dolce & Gabanna floral brocade top ($895).

As for shoes, a black and gold strappy Versace heel did the trick. She completed the look with gold accessories and simple hair and makeup: just a pop of color on the lips and long, luxurious hair.

Here is how Nicki pulled of this look so incredibly.  When you are going super tight as Minaj did here, it is important to show less skin; it's all about balance. The 3/4 length sleeves, longer pencil skirt and higher neckline allow this look to remain demure while still super sexy. Plus, a vertical pattern always elongates and lengthens.

Here's how you can recreate this gorgeous Nicki look on the cheap! Instead of doing a matching top and skirt, the cheaper option is to choose a dress—one piece and you're done!  This New London floral dress for $39 is a great option.  Not only does it have the same silhouette and hue as Nicki's, but it also has the same concept of a vertical floral pattern.

As for shoes, I am loving these heels from Forever 21. They have the same lines and gold detailing on the heel as the Versace pair, and the best part? They only cost $37! Add in some fun gold accessories, lots of bracelets and a gold chain necklace, like these here from H&M, all under $15.

And there you have it, the entire look for under $100.
