You know the old adage, "two heads are better than one"? Well, American Horror Story is taking that literally for Freak Show. Viewers are getting not one, but two Sarah Paulson heads for the new season.

Paulson took to Twitter to reveal she's playing Bette and Dot in American Horror Story: Freak Show, the upcoming fourth season of the hit FX drama. Paulson shared the above picture along with this tweet: "So excited to be playing Bette AND Dot this season. Two heads are better than one! #AHSFREAKSHOW." Series co-creator Ryan Murphy retweeted Paulson's tweet, all but confirming the news.

Paulson has appeared in every season of American Horror Story so far. Last year she played Cordelia, a witch, in American Horror Story: Coven. The upcoming Freak Show season will film in New Orleans once again and be set in Florida in the 1950s. Jessica Lange will return as the manager of one of the last freak shows in the United States. The cast for Freak Show also includes Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy and Michael Chiklis. Paulson told E! News that her first reaction to reading the Freak Show script was: "Holy s--t!"

"I feel like that's the appropriate reaction you want when you read the first script of American Horror Story," Paulson said. "So it's very exciting and totally nerve-wracking in the best way, because you think, ‘How the hell am I going to pull this off?!' And as an actor, I think that's an exciting thing to feel."

Paulson told E! News that her role would require a lot of physical things."
