Oh. Snap.
The Democratic Party got so sassy on Twitter, and it was all directed at, who else, the Republican Party.
Here's the setup: The official Twitter for the Republican Party posted a tweet recently, slamming Hillary Clinton for her comments to Diane Sawyer about leaving the White House broke and in debt due to massive legal fees.
"We came out of the White House not only dead broke, but in debt," Clinton said. "We had no money when we got there, and we struggled to piece together the resources for mortgages, for houses, for Chelsea's education. You know, it was not easy."
Using the Doge meme (popular in 2013 and still seen sometimes today), the GOP tweeted this little number:
.@HillaryClinton's out-of-touch idea of "dead broke" is some mansions & $200,000 for a few hours work. pic.twitter.com/4axjdvtK9k

And this is how the Democratic Party responded:
.@GOP your memes are as dated as your policies.

Buuurn. Drop the mic, Democrats. Walk away.
Although the Democrats might want to hold their celebration for now, because President Barack Obama just posted a well-intentioned tweet about equal pay for women:
It's been 51 years since the Equal Pay Act was signed, but women still don't have equal pay. #TimeForProgress pic.twitter.com/z8ojhj9Zr7

You see the problem? If not, let's have a quick history lesson down in the comments.
