When it came time to honor Jane Fonda, stars did so in spectacular style.

At last night's AFI Lifetime Achievement Awards event for the 76-year-old Oscar winner, leading ladies such as Sandra Bullock, Camera Diaz, Catherine Zeta Jones, Eva Longoria, Diane Lane and many more went all out. Here are a few of our favorites:

Regal as always, Michael Douglas' wife stunned in a classic lace-embellished gown by Alice + Olivia. The Gravity star brought some color to the event in a cobalt blue gown by Vionnet, while the Man of Steel actress handled the sparkle in a glittery Jenny Packham creation.

Opting for this week's hottest red carpet trend, the former Desperate Housewives actress had on sexy white high-low style by Sass & Bide. And on the other end of the color spectrum was Diaz who donned a simple black jumpsuit.

But let's not forget the belle of the ball, Fonda, who looked radiant in a black and white Vera Wang gown topped off with a diamond necklace by Chopard.
