Moms of newborn babies can get out and have a little fun, too!

At least that's what Olivia Wilde revealed when she stepped out to the CFDA Fashion Awards with famed designer Stuart Weitzman Monday night.

Beaming throughout her interview, the brunette beauty enthused, "This is really my first time coming out since I gave birth, and I thought what a wonderful event to come out to, what a wonderful date to have."

The 30-year-old working mother added of attending the fashionable fête, "I think it's fun!"

Yet, the Her actress explained that it wasn't just the swank affair that was enjoyable. She also finds the "fun" in pairing being a new mommy with star-studded Hollywood carousing. "The great thing about being a modern mother is that you can balance having fun and being a great mom."

And she learned that fine balancing acting of parenting from her partying predecessor. "I had a great example of that in my own mom. She went to a lot of good parties so here I am following in her footsteps."

Shindigs aside, the movie star juggles a hectic Hollywood schedule in one hand and her bouncing baby boy, Otis Alexander Sudeikis, in the other with the help of her fiancé Jason Sudeikis.

The couple welcomed their bundle of joy to the world just over a month ago and Wilde has been documenting the fun arising from the B-list —(B as in Baby)—parties she's having at home all over Twitter.
