The country singer and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star did, however, both write things on Twitter that were misinterpreted by other people—making it appear to some that there was tension stemming from their roles in the 11th birthday birthday for Mason, Brandi and ex Eddie Cibrian's son.
It began on Sunday, when LeAnn, 31, revealed to a follower that her day consisted of "a flight and a bday party for 6 11year old boys." Another follower responded to LeAnn, writing, "I'm not meaning this in a mean way. Do you think a bit of the hate would dwindle, if you were to not mention the kids as much?"
But LeAnn, who calls herself a "bonus mom" to her husband's sons with ex-wife Brandi, didn't believe she had to stop talking about Mason and 7-year-old Jake. "No. They are my life," she responded, "Eddie and my life revolve around them I will not edit myself because of anyone else's childishness."
Members of the Brandi bunch immediately assumed LeAnn was taking a thinly veiled jab at Brandi. But, both women took to Twitter to clear things up, with LeAnn writing, "My reply was NOT about her The question was about hate and haters it had absolutely nothing to do w/ Brandi."
Brandi backed this up, tweeting after her son's fete, "I just threw a very intimate bday party with my ex I have no issues w/either 1," and noting, "lawyers r dealing with$" and payment for the celebrations.
LeAnn had a theory about how the nonexistent drama got stirred up in the first place. "this is all the crazies trying to make up something negative w/ the people they know at mags & blogs cause I have a busy press week in Nashville," she tweeted. "It's no fail, happens every time. More too it than that also, but it's not worth it."
