"It still shocks me! It's not even normal," the Real Girl's Kitchen host said two months after her man proposed. "I still call him my boyfriend, and he, every once in a while, is like, 'Babe, I'm your fiancé.'"
The Cooking Channel star and the Subway Tile Shirts owner want an "easy and casual" wedding. "Not casual like, you know, linen pants and barefoot, but not super black tie," the bride-to-be, 29, clarified.
Haylie plans to have her little sister Hilary Duff "help" plan every detail. "I want everyone involved in it," she told reporters over the weekend at the 11th Annual Inspiration Awards benefiting Step Up.
Speaking of her sibling, Haylie also weighed in on Hilary's separation from Mike Comrie. "You know, I think maybe we all think it's a lot weirder than it really is, but we love Mike, and he's still so much a part of our family," the actress said. "I might see Mike actually more than I see Hilary, which is weird."
Is a reconciliation possible? "I think they're doing great, and they're just taking their time," Haylie said. "They're young, you know? So they're not putting stress to figure out which way it's going to go."
