A judge at this year's Scripps National Spelling Bee had the wrong thing on his mind during the competition.

That thing was Kelis…and her milkshakes.

After contestant Sriram Hathwar asked the judge to use the word "Feijoada" in a sentence before he took a crack at spelling it, the judge said, "Tabitha discovered that while her milkshake brought all the boys to the yard … oh boy, wrong sentence."

The audience giggled in the background, as Hathwar cracked a smile…not appearing to know what the judge was referring to either way.

Feijoada is actually a traditional Brazilian stew of beans, beef and pork. What a milkshake has to do with that, we're not sure.

In spite of the judge's flub, Sriram went on to win the spelling bee with fellow contestant Ansun Sujoe, who tied with him for the title.

Maybe they had a milkshake to celebrate.
