While Nicole Kidman rarely discusses her two children with ex Tom Cruise, the 46-year-old stunner made an exception when the topic of family came up in a recent interview.

The Oscar-winning actress, who plays Princess Grace Kelly in the flick Grace of Monaco, was asked if, like her character, she would give up her career for love. And Kidman didn't hesitate before she confessed that family will always come first.

"If it were the choice between my family and Keith, and my career, I wouldn't even bat an eyelid," the Hours star told The Australian Women's Weekly. "The most important things to me are the love of our relationship and my children."

Kidman and Keith Urban wed in June 2006 in Sydney. Their daughter Sunday was born in 2008 in Nashville and two years later, they welcomed their second child, Faith, via surrogacy.

"At this stage of my life, and with time being so precious, the joy I get from us as a family outweighs any joy in any other area of my life, by far," the A-list actress told the mag.

Prior to her marriage to the country crooner, Kidman was famously married to Cruise for over a decade. The former couple are parents to two adopted children, Isabella, 21, and Connor, 19.

And while Kidman rarely opens up about her eldest children, the proud mama couldn't help but gush over the adults they have become.

"They are generous, kind and hardworking," she said. "And these are traits that I love to see in my children."

The actress's sentiments shouldn't come as a surprise as she recently told the Daily Mail that she would have no problem taking a break from the movie biz if she was asked to by her husband.

"Yeah, if he asked me. No question," she said. "I would [choose love] absolutely. I wouldn't even think twice about it."

Kidman added, "I think love is the core emotion and without that, and I've certainly existed without that in my life, it's a very empty life."
