    Cannes Roundup: Channing Tatum's Foxcatcher Wins Best Director, Julianne Moore Awarded Best Actress!

    The 2014 Cannes Film Festival has officially come to a close.

    The French festival concluded Saturday night after this year's jury, which included stars from around the world like Willem Dafoe, Carole Bouquet, Gael Garcia Bernal and more, handed out awards to the big winners. So who took home the top prize?

    Winter Sleep, a Turkish film directed by Nuri Bilge Ceylan, won the coveted Palme d'Or award. The movie follows the story of a former actor and his embattled family who brave winter while dealing with dark issues.

    Julianne Moore was honored with a best actress award for her performance in the upcoming film Maps to the Stars, which costars Robert Pattinson.

    Meanwhile, Channing Tatum's highly anticipated movie Foxcatcher nabbed director Bennett Miller a prize for his directing. Foxcatcher, which has been getting rave reviews from critics, costars Steve Carell and Mark Ruffalo.

    Other notable winners include Alice Rohrwacher's The Wonders (Grand Prix), Timothy Spall in Mr. Turner (Best Actor), Andrey Zvyagintsev and Oleg Negin's Leviathan and Mommy from Xavier Dolan and Goodbye to Language from Jean-Luc Godard (both tied for the Jury Prize).
