For a kid who wasn't even a gleam in his father's eye when Michael Jackson first performed this routine, he sure does a hell of a job recreating it.

This viral video shows a student from a small-town high school performing at his talent show, his talent being a near-flawless rendition of M.J.'s iconic 1983 performance of his hit "Billie Jean." Of course, no one can ever move like the King of Pop, but this guy is pretty damn close.

That performance was also the first time Jackson did his infamous moonwalk, so you'd better believe that's the highlight of the teenager's routine. Watch the video above (dance starts at 1:11) and prepare to be in awe of his dedication to mastering M.J.'s swagger.

And in case you were curious, this kid won first place.
