Everybody sing!

That's the underlying message in Ed Sheeran's latest music video for his hit single "Sing," which was released on his Facebook page today. The tune, which has climbed to the top of the music charts, is the first single off of Sheeran's forthcoming album X.

The clip features Sheeran's puppet alter ego having a wild night out before the real Ed Sheeran and Pharrell Williams join in on the fun. The puppet is seen dancing in a limo with a slew of beautiful ladies, boozing it up at a bar before he sings karaoke and even hitting up a strip club as the camera cuts to video of Ed singing and playing the guitar.

The trio is seen living the A-list life as they mingle with stunning woman at a table filled with bottles of booze before puppet Sheeran is eventually arrested following his epic night of debauchery.

The quirky clip was directed by Emil Nava, who also teamed up with Sheeran for the making of his music videos "Lego House, "You Need Me..." and "Give Me Love."

And turns out, Sheeran now owns the pesky puppet although he hasn't quite perfected his puppeteer skills.

"The puppet is definitely a lot wilder than me," Sheeran admitted (as reported by Digital Spy). "I got to keep it afterwards, which is cool. No idea how to work it yet, there are a lot of moving parts, but I'll get there with practice."
