Ryan Gosling is making the leap from movie star to movie director!
The Drive actor makes his directorial debut with Lost River, which is slated to premiere this week at the Cannes Film Festival.
The fantasy thriller follows a single mom played by Christina Hendricks (Gosling's Drive co-star), who gets swept into a dark underworld, while her teenage son discovers a road that leads him to a secret underwater town.
The film also stars Gosling's real-life leading lady Eva Mendes, Matt Smith and Saoirse Ronan.
