Sherri Shepherd is having a tough spring.

Just a couple of weeks after her estranged husband Lamar Sally filed for divorce, court documents surfaced revealing that the View co-host's ex-hubby, Jeffrey Tarpley, is seeking full custody of their 9-year-old son.

In court documents obtained by E! News, Tarpley alleges their son, Jeffrey Jr., has been neglected in Shepherd's care, adding that her "neglect" has been "compounded by poor parenting choices, refusal to provide for our child's immediate needs not being nurtured, both mentally and emotionally, lack thereof or no judgment at all when considering skilled child care providers, and a deficiency for inventiveness as it relates to the minor child's educational needs and concerns."

Shepherd's ex also claims that the comedian's work schedule is the main reason for the supposed "neglect," adding that Jeffrey Jr., who is special needs, can't tie his own shoes, has poor hygiene and can hardly write.

According to the documents filed in April in Los Angeles Superior Court, Tarpley is seeking temporary physical custody of their son, requesting that the host get "no visitation until the court rules on this issue at the hearing."

Although the judge didn't grant Tarpley's temporary emergency order, he did schedule a hearing for July 21 instead.

According to TMZ, Shepherd reportedly filed a response claiming that Tarpley, who lives in California," is an "absentee dad" who "deserves no part in his son's life."

Meanwhile, Shepherd's estranged husband filed for divorce from the daytime TV star May 2 and asked for primary legal and physical custody of their unborn child, who is being carried by a surrogate.

The baby is due July 28.
