More trouble for Lamar Odom.

The basketball player was rejected at Penthouse Nightclub on Tuesday night, E! News confirms, after French Montana, who was performing at the venue, instructed the club owner that Odom was not allowed inside.

An onlooker tells E! News that the incident happened right as Khloé Kardashan and her crew arrived at the jam-packed club around 12:30 a.m.

"It was Khloé, French, Kim [Kardashian] and Jonathan Cheban. Kim and Jonathan exited the car and were filming a scene for the show while Khloé and French were in the car talking. Just then, Lamar walks past the car and heads around to the front of the club to go in," the source said.

"Lamar was rejected at the door and was forced to leave," the source continued. "He was later seen walking by Khloé and French as they sat inside her Range Rover."

"Khloé looked shocked. It did not look like she was expecting him at all. No one could believe he was there."

The insider added that "the doorway to the club was surrounded by French's security, who made it clear to Lamar he would not be allowed in. As he was leaving, he walked again past the car that French and Khloé were in and made his way off the property."

"After that, Khloé and her group went inside. Kim and Jonathan stayed for about an hour before leaving, but Khloé remained with French."

Additionally, the source revealed that "it seemed obvious Lamar was there looking for Khloé. This was not a random coincidence. He seemed desperate."

According to a second eyewitness, during French's performance, Khloé was seen dancing, and following his concert at the club, Khloé and French sat side-by-side and were chatting intimately. The group stayed until just after 2 a.m.

Khloé pulled the plug on her four-year marriage on Dec. 13, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Prior to their breakup, Odoms struggles were heavily documented.

The 34-year-old athlete was arrested for a DUI in August and barely a day after he opted to check in to rehab in September following his arrest for allegedly driving under the influence, Odom left the treatment facility.

He later pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor count and entered a no contest plea for his run-in with the law in December. He was sentenced to 36 months of probation.

Khloé and Lamar tied the knot on Sept. 27, 2009, at a private Beverly Hills estate after a whirlwind courtship. They met when Lamar was still playing for the L.A. Lakers.
