Tip: You'll want to be wearing black when you watch The Blacklist finale tonight as it's basically one big funeral.
The NBC hit drama's epic first season comes to a close and we just chatted with some of its stars on the red carpet at the network's Upfront presentation in New York City, where they dished on the "bloodbath" going down tonight.
"There are are a couple of deaths. We have a lot of death on our show," Megan Boone teased. "It's a bloodbath tonight. I don't think we would be true to the show if it weren't."
And viewers can expect to see all of the drama's characters in jeopardy, even the seemingly invincible Red (James Spader). "Every character is pushed to the brink," Ryan Eggold added. "Even Red is under fire and sweating it for the first time, which we've never seen."
However, there is at least one person on the team who seems to be safe: Aram, with Amir Arison hedging, "That's a trick question because if I answer that yes, that means I live tonight. If I answer that no, that means I die tonight. I am going to refrain from answering that question. However, I will say this: I'm at the Upfronts, so that's a good sign!"
Aside from a few big deaths, tonight's episode will also feature the highly anticipated debut of Berlin, Tom's boss and the new big bad seeking revenge on Red.
"We've been teasing this whole Berlin thing and that's coming 100 percent. You're going to meet Berlin," Eggold promised. "He/she or it is one crazy mofo!"
While viewers had been under the impression that Berlin was referring to the place, not a person, the cast had been clued in to the big secret. "I had a few hints along the way that it might not be a place," Diego Klattenhoff said. "Coming off of Homeland, you really are used to being kept in the dark and trying to find the right people to talk to. You're trying to find your own sources!
Aside from Berlin's introduction, fans have been eagerly awaiting more answers about Tom's true feelings for Liz (Boone), his wife and target. Alas, you'll have to wait until season two, as Eggold admitted, "They will not be revealed tonight. You'll be confused."
But Eggold better watch out as Ressler (Klattenhoff) and Liz have grown quite close over the course of the first season, with viewers rooting for a romance to blossom in season two. "One can hope," Klattenhoff said.
The Blacklist finale airs tonight at 10 p.m. on NBC.
