Oh. My. Bones.
Nine seasons in and the Fox hit drama still manages to leave us breathless.
Tonight's episode ended with a bang—literally—as Booth (David Boreanaz) was shot in the closing moments. We think we speak for every Bones fan when we yell: Gah! (And we think we speak for every TV fan when we plead for shows to stop shooting its leading men, please and thank you!)
We've got your exclusive first look at next Monday's sure-to-be intense season finale, which finds Brennan (Emily Deschanel) rushing through the hospital to find her husband, who is not looking too good...
As the promo teases: "It's the season finale that will change everything."
And if you don't believe the intense promo, which will probably cause you to lose lots of sleep tonight (You're welcome and sorry!), believe this tease from Emily Deschanel, who spoke with reporters, along with David Boreanaz, on a conference call before tonight's episode: "[The shooting] changes everything for awhile. Not only Booth and Brennan, between them, but also between kind of everything, Booth's job, possibly Brennan's job...I mean, everything!"
Boreanaz, who also directed the episode, added, "Things will change for the good and there will be also things that they'll have to adjust to. I keep saying adjusting because it's definitely going to be different."
We also had the chance to talk to David and Emily at today's Fox Upfront presentation, and they did nothing to quell our fears by saying things like "Booth may not be in the FBI next season," and "someone may not survive."
We think we speak for every Bones fan again when we say: Gulp!
Bones' season finale airs Monday, May 19, at 8 p.m. on Fox.
