Watch: Is Joaquin Phoenix a Barrel of Laughs?

We don't always get the pleasure of seeing Joaquin Phoenix's hilarious side, but his The Immigrant co-star Marion Cotillard revealed he's actually pretty comedic!

E! News caught up with the gorgeous French actress, who plays a Polish woman who has immigrated to New York in the 1920s in her latest film. Marion explained what surprised her the most on set saying, "We actually had a lot of fun, even if we were telling a story that wasn't that funny. Joaquin and Jeremy Renner are very funny people."

Handsome and funny? What's not to love about working with these Hollywood A-listers?

Marion went on to explain that it wasn't always all laughs on set, though. She revealed one of her fondest memories shooting the movie was the scene they shot of arriving on Ellis Island.

"One of the more beautiful memories that I have is when we went to Ellis Island,  because there were a lot of extras that day," said Marion. "All those people started to share memories about their families going through Ellis Island."
