Now this is a hairy situation.

In honor of #ThrowbackThursday, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting shared a photo that you can't help but stare at—and the longer you look, the stranger it gets.

Sitting in a makeup chair on the Big Bang Theory set, Kaley sits in a bright pink, cleavage-baring tank top and jean shorts with rollers in her hair. Sounds normal, right? Sure, except she's getting covered in body hair and it looks really, really weird. She captioned the photo, "#tbt getting monkey'd out for tonight's episode of @thebigbangtheory__"

With already fully covered legs, Kaley patiently waits as her arms get the monkey treatment.

So why the ape transformation? You might remember that in the beginning of the series, Cuoco's character Penny starred in a low-budget film titled Serial Ape-ist when she first moved to Los Angeles. Its plot involves a genetically engineered and sex-crazed killer gorilla on a rampage.

Now it's time for the sequel! At first, Penny turned down a part in Serial Ape-ist 2: Monkey See, Monkey Kill, but when her car breaks down and she needs money, she calls back for the part, but finds out that it has been given to someone else. However, in a later episode, her agent calls and tells her that the part is hers again if she wants it.

And here we are.
