MTV's Teen Mom may be back for a fifth season, but Farrah Abraham won't be involved, E! News has exclusively learned.
A source confirms that while stars Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood are all currently in talks to star in another season of the hit MTV reality series, 22-year-old Abraham has been dropped from negotiations entirely.
The move isn't surprising, given Abraham's arrest last year and her recent venture into pornography.
While season four of the reality show, which highlights the challenges that can be faced by young mothers, ended in 2012, Abraham managed to stay in the spotlight for some not-so-motherly reasons.
She was arrested in early 2013 for a DUI and was sentenced to six months of probation and sobriety tests, as well as a $500 fine. She also released an album and two sex tapes with Vivid Entertainment, and this past March she released a new song and accompanying music video titled "Blowin'."
Our source spilled to us that they "wouldn't be surprised" if MTV didn't want to include Abraham in Teen Mom's return "because of what she's done in the last couple of years.
"Think about the original premise of the show, it was to help young girls make the right decisions about sex and relationships and not get pregnant," our insider continued. "Look at what she's done since the show. She doesn't belong on it."
On Tuesday, May 6, Abraham took to Twitter to address her fans who have stuck with her since her time on the show.
"I shared my "Teen Mom" struggles with you all, I've exceeded my expectations & now I've become an amazing person & want 2 be who I really am," she tweeted.
Abraham isn't the only Teen Mom cast member to have faced a few legal troubles. Amber Portwood had been arrested for domestic violence and possession, but was released from jail early for good behavior and recently appeared on Maury to mentor teen girls against reckless drug use and risky sexual behavior.
MTV had no comment.
