Well, this definitely made us do a double take!
Hailee Steinfeld was snapped with what appeared to be a burgeoning belly in New York City on Thursday.
But as it turns out, the 17-year-old actress is not expecting. Rather, her character is in the upcoming drama Ten Thousand Saints, which of course, explains the fake baby bump.
The movie, set in the 1980s, also stars Emile Hirsch, Ethan Hawke, Emily Mortimer and Asa Butterfield, who previously appeared with Steinfeld in last year's Ender's Game.
Earlier this week, it was announced that Steinfeld had joined the cast of Pitch Perfect 2, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2012 smash hit.
No further details have been released, although the Oscar-nominated actress will share the silver screen with Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson and Brittany Snow, who are set to reprise their roles.
Elizabeth Banks, who will direct the sequel, first revealed the news via Twitter, writing, @HaileeSteinfeld Welcome to the Barden Bellas! Now lace up your dancing shoes, and get your tush down to Baton Rouge. #PitchPerfect2."
Steinfeld's casting marks the first high-profile role to be added to the star-studded ensemble, and clearly, the brunette beauty is bursting with enthusiasm.
"It's official and I'm SO excited!!!!!!!!!! #PitchPerfect2," she wrote on Twitter, captioning a promo pic for the flick.
