Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas have broken up.

E! News can confirm that the two, who began dating almost two years ago, are no longer dating.

A source tells People magazine that Harry found Bonas "too needy" and that "it just wasn't working out."

However, Showbiz Spy is reporting that their relationship came to a halt because of concerns on Bonas' end.

"Cressie is still young and had huge reservations about marrying into the royal family," a source told the site.

E! News also reported earlier that Cressida has been nervous about the attention she'll receive if she ever made it official with Prince William's younger brother.

The shocking split comes on the heels of months of speculation that the redheaded royal was inching closer to popping the question to the beautiful blonde.

In fact, just last month Bonas attended her very first official royal event alongside her hunky beau.

Bonas attended the We Day in the U.K. event and sat next to the 29-year-old throughout the concert.

She also proudly watched as Harry gave a speech to 12,000 students at the inaugural U.K. event benefitting Free the Children, where he admitted to being "incredibly nervous" about addressing the large crowd.

Bonas walked the red carpet and posed for photographs at the event, but she remained solo for that part of the evening.

Earlier that week Harry had dinner at The Ivy with Cressida and her brother-in-law Sam Branson, further adding fuel to the fire that things were getting very serious between the duo.

The two first began dating in 2012 after being spotted on several trips together including the Glastonbury Music Festival and a romantic skiing trip in Switzerland.
