Welcome to the cyber crime division!
Medium star Patricia Arquette is set to make her return to TV in CSI's highly anticipated spinoff, which will focus on the FBI's cyber crime division. Arquette's Avery Ryan, the special agent who leads the division, will be introduced to CSI fans in Wednesday, April 30's outing.
And we've got your exclusive first look at Arquette in action in the backdoor pilot, which finds a Pretty Little Liars star stirring up some trouble.. Press play on our exclusive video above to meet Avery Ryan and to see which PLL lady is at the center of the cyber-related murder case featured in the episode, which is named after her devious character, "Kitty."
Arquette's character is actually inspired by Mary Aiken, a real-life Cyber Psychologist who will serve as a producer alongside CSI franchise creator Anthony E. Zuiker and executive producers Carol Mendelsohn and Ann Donahue.
While viewers won't know for sure if the spinoff (which would be the franchise's third off-shoot after CSI: NY and CSI: Miami) will be added to CBS' fall schedule until the network's Upfront presentation in May, CSI was renewed for a 15th season, along with 17 other series.
And in the drama's upcoming finale, airing May 14, fans will be saying goodbye to an original cast member as Paul Guilfoyle is set to exit the series.
CSI airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. on CBS.
